Chaney Williams

Chaney Williams (she/they) is a queer, biracial, full spectrum doula who is pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts. She lives in Kentucky and has been a southerner since birth. Chaney strongly believes in the power that writing holds in healing processes and that engaging with art of all forms is cathartic. For Chaney, their writing is confessional in nature because she writes what haunts them because it is the way she makes sense of the world she exists in. It is how she finds belonging in the universe and connects to her ancestors, future descendants, and the collective. To them, all people deserve access to inclusive, trauma informed, and intersectional care, and that it is our duty to create a sustainable future for all. They believe that caring for community is an act of liberation.

I offer community and peer support over ritual, sexuality, creative practices, and lunar living to marginalized communities such as Queer, Trans, Disabled, and BIPOC folks. My offerings are for people exploring the intersections of identity, ritual practices, creativity, reproductive justice, and healing from trauma. These offerings are so clients can mark life thresholds with compassion, empathy and non-judgment to honor different life experiences. I facilitate and engage with my clients from a soul centered, exploratory lens to hold space for a widespan of life experiences so they can be marked by ritual facilitated by myself in a community space and individually so together we can work towards a sustainable future for all.

Who are these offerings for?

  • There is a belief that people shouldn’t mark thresholds other than marriage, death, or births which leaves out the wide spectrum of emotions that come from experiences outside of that lens such as divorce, gender transitions, renaming yourself, or claiming a new identity.

  • These offerings are for folks interested in community and peer support around sexual wellness practices/ non traditional lifestyles, and building a ritual practice. BIPOC/ Queer/ Trans folks who want a community focused container around the intersection of rituals and creative practice.

  • Folks looking to mark a threshold with ritual. Audiences who want to learn more about full spectrum doula work, healing from trauma, and spiralic living.
